This is our first year doing the Antlers Shop With A Cop program. It was created many years ago to help children & families in need provide Christmas gifts for their little ones by shopping beside police officers, Sheriff Deputies, firemen, other first responders, and several other county, state, and federal employees, by letting them pick out items for Christmas for themselves or their loved ones.
The program is completely funded by donations from local businesses, civic groups, and individuals and can always use your help. Any of these donors can donate cash, or sponsor a family financially by donating anonymously, or join in the fun by personally escorting the family around the store helping them pick out their gifts. Local volunteers are also encouraged to help if they can. It’s very rewarding to help where help is needed most, and watching these kids having the time of their lives at Christmas is what it’s all about.
We hope that on the morning of the event, that many kids will be grinning from ear to ear while combing the aisles looking for that perfect gift they’ve always wanted, with many unselfishly choosing something for mom, dad, or grandma. We want this first year to be the most magical experience with the help of our community volunteers and donors.

All referrals and requests are screened by a committee, and participants are then contacted with the details of the event, including the date and time it will be held.
Applications will be available November 1st, 2024. Deadline is December 6th, 2024 for applications to be turned in.
